Title: abs light always on.

My ABS light has just recently come on and stays on. Is this a problem with the ABS pump...if so, what sort of money am i looking at to repair this.

Check the wheel rotors and sensors for damage first, and give em a clean.

Just been out to test the abs and it doesn't work..does this sound like the pumps are knackered?

Not necessarily, if any of the sensors are duff or if there is any damage to the rotors then the ABS system will shut down and the light will come on.
Check that first.
