Title: rough idle
Post by: ace on 01 August 2006, 13:25
hey all, im new to this forum but ive been very impressed with everything.

right basically i have a mk3 gti 8v with the agg engine. ive had the same problem as most i.e. cutting out (last summer). i managed to sort this out by cleanin the throttle body and breather pipes.

however now when i serviced the car a couple of weeks ago im getting very rough idling. the revs drop to around 750-800.

took the car to get it on the computer and it came up with 2 faults

1. air intake sensor
2. engine coolant sensor

i have now changed the 2 parts and had the ecu reset but ive still got the same problem.

does any1 have any ideas what i can try next????
