Title: W8 Passat

am i seeing things? i followed a normal looking silver passat estate through nottingham just the other day. i first saw four exhaust pipes and when i got closer saw the W8 4 Motion badges. on pulling up alongside, normal looking family man driving, if there is such a thing. and gorgeous 19"BBS cross spoke jobbies.
am i seeing things or is this a ruse. i haven't seen a W8 configuration on any vw motor. the plates were from derby, a friend of mine that worked there swears blind he didn't sell it or see it.????
can someone put me in the picture please

yep crazy things, i was having a scoot round the showroom a couple of year ago, prob to see if they had the R32 in yet so i could go and sit in it!

and there it was this W8 passat, weird engine. with the W12 i can see where they get it, two V6's but a W8! how random!

I have been looking at these recently as they are crazy value 12k ish for a 02 model at sensible miles. All the gadgets, leather interior and nice subtle exterior, very Q car :)

Join 2 of the engines together, sprinkle on a few turbo's and you have a Veyron  :grin:

I've worked on a 6.0 W12 A8. Not a lot of room to do anything!

Might have a Pimp car when i turn up to E38.... now i have said this it will probably all go f**king wrong.  :angry:

The W engine is basically 2 VR configuration engines stuck together, for example the 6.0L W12 is 2 3.0L 15 degree v6's stuck together, or 2 3.0L vr6's if ya like  :tongue:
