Right, i want to remove my drivers seat and fit an aftermarket bucket seat. I've built up the replacement seat and mounting bracket but this is where i am stuck.
The bracket i have doesn't have the feet that sit in the slides, is it possible to remove the mounts/feet off my original seat and use these? I've had a look but cant work out how there fitted and dont want to butcher this seat as if it doesn't work then i'm stuck without any thing to sit on?
Any one else done something like this or any ideas?

dont you need to buy a model specific subframe? :embarassed: im not too sure..
-
as far as i know han is right, subframes specific to the car should go strait in. on the original seat the whole lower half is all 1 peice so cant really take bits off that as the base wont match ur new gear.

Hi I bought these sub frames but cant work out how the rear fits onto / into the slides

"PLEASE NOTE PICTURE IS FOR EXAMPLE ONLY" - well there is one problem solved.
if it in the ones in the picture, then they will need to be drill mounted. Fun Fun.

No its not the ones in the picture there is a middle bit at the front which lines up with the mount but at the back there are 2 legs with holes in them, these i think need to be connected to the existing feet/mounts and then all should fit, but how are the original mounts / feet fitted?

Picture please.

Think there called glider rails (the item that i need to remove from my seats and fit to this)

Just an update.
I made some sliders at work, basically 2 square peices of metal that fit inslide the glides/slides with a threaded hole in them to enable me to screw the frame in place. Fitted them and it seems alright but willl still pursue the idea of chopping the feet off a seat subframe and maybe welding this on.
But for now alls OK
