Title: making knocking noises after lowering
Post by: andy_p7777 on 30 July 2006, 12:34
ive got a golf mk4 1.8t 1999, ive put 18" alloy wheels and fk coilovers on it. i lowered it a fair bit and the driveshaft was scraping on the (steering rack i think) ONLY ON THE DRIVERS SIDE when ever i went over a bump. ive highered the car 25mm but its just as bad. i want the car lowerer than it is now, is there a set height the car can only be dropped down to?

Dont know about a set height

Mine was lowered 45mm with 19's, no problems, only used to scrape a bit on full lock

the noise you mean is the driveshaft rubbing on the anti roll bar, change your ARB for a nuespeed one and you will be able to go low as without the knocking
