Title: Build Quality
Post by: Eric on 29 July 2006, 14:06
Hi Guys,

05 GTi, 19,000 km and this morning I noticed the rubber moulding on bottom of passengers door decided to come apart from the door frame. On a quick examination,I was not at home,it appears just to be stuck with some form of glue.Has anybody else had the same problem.Should I fix it myself or throw it back to a main dealer with a look of disgust and insist he sorts out.

I also hear the wind noise sometimes in drivers door and the wiper has a mind of its own but I know these issues are a common cause of discussion on the board.

Would appreciate advice on the moulding problem.

Regards,

Eric.

send it back to the dealer to be sorted mate.  I remember Test Drive magazine ran a MKV for 12 months or so and had no end of problems with the door seal coming off.  each time it went back to the dealer though!!
