So I just popped out to halfrauds to get some cleaning stuff and as I went onto the dual carriage way I noticed a MK3 coming up behind me.
What with me in my new toy, the MK2 Gti i thought I would floor it. He just caught me up, i moved over seeing I had been done and of course - pushed a bit harder. He went past, just, and then I saw the back. It was a VR6, I think on a P plate.
I am assuming that his seeming "struggle" to catch up and go past was an act and he could have pi**ed all over me some time before??
Mine is just an '88 Mk2 8v Gti with a supersprint on it.
I had fun tho.........

Ordinairilly yes, but some people don't look after their cars the way they should, could of been one that had'nt been serviced for a while and was low on power.
-
Yeah maybe....did seem a little short up the hill.....

The mk2 8v will get in front at the lights, but not for long.
However on a dual carriageway, i'm afraid a good vr6 would leave an 8v for dead.

Is going good, she runs absolutely perfectly (apart from a worn engine mount and some slight vobration when breaking)
and she is dam fun to ride ;)

The worn engine mount could also account for the vibration when braking.
I've owned 3 mk2's in my time, and i've still got a broken one on my drive
-
He was probably playing you like a fiddle fella......!!

Yeah thats wot I figured.......lovin the Mk2 tho
