I've been offered some genuine rs4 alloy wheels, but I'm told that at least 2 of them need a refurb, anybody know how much it costs roughly??
there 18 inch
-
be careful mate; the genuine one's might not fit your hubs. I think they are 5x112 but the golf is 5x100 :undecided:
-
cheers mate never thought of that
-
double check at least! can you get hold of the wheels and try them??
sorry to put a downer on it mate
-
no i can't but I'm looking into it, its a friend of a friend, cos he says he's not sure if they are genuine now or not. how can you tell if they are will they just have 5 holes and not multiholed like the replicas???
-
from what i know the genuine ones have a much better, shinier finish. hard to describe the difference i'm afraid mate  but place a gen and a replica side by side and its easy to spot the differences
replicas can have just the 5 holes too but with the correct PCD for the golf

ok this could get tricky then, i hope there multiholed then i think they should fit, but even so if they are the right price i could always sell them on. i'll wait and see wat happens, but thanks for the help

ay haggle and make some cash out of it

Genuine ones will probably have the audi part number behind the centre cap i think its something li 1j0 then 6 numbers

Yep, correct.
Genuine ones are a different shade to the replicas. Replicas look to silver, sort of like in your face. Have a look at the finish of the paint
