Title: Corrado seats into a mk2
Post by: Kamaya on 24 July 2006, 08:47

Hi all,

Weighing up the purchase of front & rear seats from a corrado to put in the mk2 i'll be getting next month. I know this can be done, but how much work/alteration is involved, and are there any 'how-to' guides that anyone knows of?

Cheers

Scott

Hi mate, best guide to fitting the rear bench in that i've found is here: http://www.matey-matey.com/corrado_seat_conversion.shtml.

Doesnt sound like to bad a job, gonna be doing it myself next month. And fronts go straight in!

the fronts are easy peasy itll take you five mins they fit in same as your originals, the bench however i think requires a little work and then you'll end up with a gap either side as its not quite as long. It is possible to purchase something to go in this gap, i think mj interiors make them, its just a little pillow type thing

the rears need some brackets welding in for the bottom of the back rests and the tops need the bit of bar the seat clips to extending a bit. the actual seats clip in to the holes already in the mk2 and the middle arm reast needs screwing in. it is quite a bit if work :undecided:

or you could just rest it all in place so it looks nice
