Title: i need a standard plastic dump valve

anyone got a standard re-circ dump valve for a golf gti turbo (agu code) ive got a forge re-circ on and it sounds boring, at least with the old plastic one it would chatter mint.
id take 45quid and a standard one for my forge. it aint a month old and i lost the reciept so i cant return it.
i know this thread should be in for sale but i being a mk4 section it would apply.

It was probably 'chattering' because it was foobarred!!!

A new plastic one won't 'chatter' either, because its' diaphragm won't be split!!! (For a short while, anyway).

Keep the Forge & buy an induction kit.  That way you will get chatter, & you won't be losing performance. :wink:

Don't try and find a dump valve that gives you a chatter/whoosh - the 1.8T engine is needs the air to be recirculated to certain sensors, like they guy above said if you want noise get an induction kit which will make it louder.

If you want a standard dump valve, I got one mate, but like everyone says - it wont chatter, co for an induction and you will be happy, esp with a remap :cool:

god dammit, you lot were all right, i sold my forge, got my standard recirc back and yeah it was jammed. luckilly i got a standard one off a 225bhp audi tt, works fine.

would my engine fail quickly if i put the old recirc on that chattered, i presume its the turbo getting the boost forced back through it.
my mates cossie makes the same noise and i love it.
