Hi there, just wanted some male advice. Thinking about ordering a black GTi....do you think it will suit a 28 yr old girl?
I've always liked my cars, currently have a Mini Cooper S Works. Want something with similiar power but a bit more practical as need to be able to fit my golf clubs in the back. Have 22K to spend, is it a good move or not?

well thats what goes through my head when im doing the "how YOU doinnn" nod&smile at ladies in their gti's anyway :grin:

Thanks for your posts, given me some food for thought. Not going to post any pics though, sorry to disappoint. I've learnt from past experience to think carefully about what car to buy. I had a Civic Type R = too boy racer! Nissan 350Z = looked like I was driving my Dad's car. I'm hoping a Golf will look classy, sporty and mean a bit of business if pushed.

I have a 3 door black GTI and my wife loves driving it! and even after being married 12 years i havet to say she looks DAMN good in it! and it has sooooooooooooooooo much more class than a mini! :grin:

You will love it miss - Just get the wheels upgraded to the 18" and it will handle superbly! My 25 yo missus looked great in my GTi and looks great in her GT TDi so I can't see why you would look "strange" in a GTi.
The clubs will fit no probs!
I wouldn't say it has way more class than a mini, infact they both seem to about the same in that area (both being timeless classics) but the interior trim is is of a higher quality.
I have ordered my first ever mini for late Sept delivery - It is the last of the current shape mini's and being a GP I'm looking forward to having more than a little fun in it!

i upgraded from a cooper s to my black gti for similar reasons. my golf clubs now fit in the back and it's a far better ride. Although i thought i looked ok in it, my girlfriend looks so much better. go for it. if you had harmon kardon in the mini you'll be seriously disapointed with the stereo though. you have to get 5 doors and the 18's though!

You guys have confirmed my feelings/thoughts which is reassuring :smiley: Yes I have Harmon Kardon in the mini, and have it on a set of 18's, so when I get round to buying a golf I will be back for advice on sound kits and wheels.

I miss the Mini sometimes, but the GTI is a monster, a little more sophisticated, couple of mods, you play with the big boys

As a golfer I know the importance of gettin the clubs in the back, but a 28 year old girl with 22k to spend on a gti and who playes golf!?! You sound perfect. Next thing you'l be telling us you love a good night in the pub, farting and talkin about football and sex!
