Im in the process of aquireing my 8v and yes I know the 16v is quicker but I dont care its a GTi at the end of the day and they look fab! :grin:

The original mk1 GTI was an 8v.

The 16v was deleloped later, but the 1st GTI was an 8v.

On a MK1 - Yes :smiley: - the way it rev's is just so :cool: a biker mate of mine reckons they're the closest a car can get to a bike :undecided: dunno about that I'm not a biker but how can 200cc only give 1bhp more :shocked:

The end of the day you gotta be happy with what you got be it 8v or 16v... I have driven a Mk4 for soo long now its heavy only a 1.4 and I can see my self having alot more fun in my 8v Mk2... :smiley:
