Can someone plz help me out? I keep hearing and reading about the term 'stretched rubber' (tyres) wot does this mean and wot does it involve?

i dont know what it means but I know i have them on my wheels - they look like they dont touch the wall of the wheel - like they could spin round the wheel by themselves but thankfully they dont

streeetch... its basicly fitting a narrower profile tyre on a wide rim to keep the tread under the arches to keep it legal. if you stretch too much it can become dangerous, a little bit is ok and kinda cool! :P

if you do stretch too much they have a tendency to pop off the rim :rolleyes:

just be careful of kerbs lol........

As you say be careful of kerbs and be very careful about the speed you take corners at if you've got stretched rubber on your wheels !

Been here before.. bottom line is they're not safe for all sorts of reasons!
Yes they look good, but thats about it!
