Title: Hi Doc, I need your help again!
Post by: mrv on 16 July 2006, 15:53
Having taken parts of my dash apart to fix some rattles, i had to disconnect the airbag light just underneath the hazzard warning triangle on the dashboard. Now i've put everything back together it says that i have an airbag fault. Do you know how to reset this??

Thank you

Hi there

Did you turn on the ignition when it was unpluged?

You need a reset tool to turn this light off, I do have one but as you know I am in the NW.

Where are you based and I will see if I have someone local that can help, FOC or as close to it as poss!

Yeah i did. I take it that was the wrong thing to do then.
I'll take it to my dealer tomorrow. Considering i fixed the noise for them it's the least they can do.
Thanks for your help.

Never ever unplug anything on your car then turn the ignition on as it will give you problems!

Nice 1 for the free fix
