Title: WHAT SIZE WHEELS???
Post by: Andy_mk3 on 14 July 2006, 12:39
Hey,

Anyone out there have any idea what size wheels I can fit on my mk3 GTI 8v?

I'm looking for some RS4's if anyone's selling a good set!

Cheers!

Andy

i wouldnt go any bigger than 17's.. unless you want to start cutting arches.

you'll need RS4 replicas too with a 5x100 pattern (gen. are 5x112) .. easily available on ebay, or a place called rochford tyres.

i hear the replicas are bloody heavy though.

the replica's we've bought in 18's come multifit. 5x100 and 5x112.

£495 with tyres can't be bad :)

17 x 8's with 215/40 tyres is about as big as you can go without work to the arches.

Ive gone back to 17 x 7.5 as with those tyres I sometimes get it rubbing the rear bumper leading edge.
