Title: Help car will not start gti 16v

Hello all went to start my car just now and it fired and died and now will not start at all :cry: when turning over the oil light flashes. Its done it once before but started after a min but this it just dont want to go. Its an 16v M plate

read the other post about this but mine has never cut out when driving only when going to start

Please Help i need to get to work :smiley:

Firstly, what's missing? Fuel, air or spark?

Air's hardly ever missing, so it's probably fuel or spark! Crank it over, can you smell fuel coming from the exhaust?

Ok just looked got no spark :sad:, can smell fuel ok

Also theres power to the dizzy cap but no spark  :cry:
