Title: Front grille foglights???
Post by: HuwMk2 on 11 July 2006, 20:11
Hi all. Trying to remove the smaller fog/driving lights on my four lamp gti grille. Taken the two screws off but there is a third bolt/screw to remove, how do I get this off the grille to remove the light completely? Cheers.

you mean the inner spots? Just take the grill off, then disconnect the electrical connectors from the lights, twist the 3/4 white clips 90degrees then pull the lights out. There are no screws to undo.

Cheers, how thick must I seem? Second thoughts, don't answer that! My plastic bits had gone hard and brittle, brok when I tried to turn them, oh well!

VW sell a repair kit for this, only cheap :)
And the grill lamps in a MK2 are main beams, not fogs ;)
