Title: A New Arrival!! UPDATED

Well as you all know I have been traling the Golf's for sale board seen quite a few and one off the autotrader (which was haggard)

But I am well chuffed to say that I have finally placed my deposit on a Mk2 GTi! It caused quite a stir on the For Sale Section with Seven Pages worth of Bumps/Questions and the like!

So im lookin forward to taking delievery soon (when rest is payed and its had its MOT courtesy of the seller)

Here it is and what can I say except and soo over the moon with it!

GTI badge needs lowering one slat though.  :wink:

I was wondering if at the same time as moving said badge down a slat... Should I keep the badge black or replace it with a Silver/Chrome one?

Keep the black badge, the less colours the better in my opinion, hence I've just lost my gti badge, pinstripe and inner lamps.

Is it an oakie??? Hard to tell in the pic but I think I detect a hint of green on the leading edge of the wing.

Its a Royal Blue but yes I can see a bit of green in it from the angle...

Good idea on the less colours the rear has a black badge but the Golf GTi bit on the back is silver, maybe remove that or change it for a black one.

Can I just say, it's been a pleasure dealing with you so far Chris, after dealing with loads of timewasters (7 page thread anyone?) it was nice to finally find a genuine buyer for the car, as you know I will be really sad to see her go  :cry:

Funnily enough, the same night you placed the deposit the mobile never stopped ringing, and the PMs and emails have been flooding through since  :shocked:

Thanks Richard glad its all getting sorted out at the moment...

Which leads me to an update... Originally getting sorted for this weekend to be moved it now looks like it will be with me on Monday 31st since she failed the MOT on a few things but nothing major. The transportation is still yet to be booked but money worries are now all gone.

Sold my little laptop and guitar and amp so money collected, when I get it I will be sure to put up a project page would be cool to write up and see how it progresses, as it happens already have some good ideas!

I had that done to my Golf Mk4 it wasnt some idiot in a shopping car park though oh no...

It was done by some insano in a Scooby who decided to park his car into the side of mine round a Dual Carriageway!  :angry:
