Hi Guys,

I am new to the site, just bought a 1990 Golf GTi 16v in Helious Blue.  Needs a bit of work but picked it up for a bargain £700.  Have found the site very useful as the car has a few electrical problems with it which have been difficult to isolate. 

Does anyone know about what turns the brake lights on when the handbrake is applied ? My brake lights do not come on when the handbrake is applied, but the handbrake light on the dash does come on.

Any ideas,

Because the brake lights shouldn't come on with the handbrake chap, they should only come on with the foot brake.
