i have a mk4 vreg 1999 1.8t an i used to have a atmosphiric dump valve on there and it seemed to work fine & good miles per gallon still hittin the 42 -43 mark but now i have taken the d/v off and its runnin ( i think really rich ) coz the best mpg ive got is 31 on the motorway
so any thoughts guys woulb be very helpfull

42-43 mpg on a 1.8t - you sure its not a derv :wink:

mpg is no way to test the mixture.. go get it checked. You'll probably find that whooshy dump valve thingy gave your mfa erroneous mpg readings..
