Title: Droning noise
Post by: Eric Shun on 06 July 2006, 22:57
I've got a droning noise from the front axle.

Wheel bearings at 36,000 miles???

Any other ideas?

Noticeable between 50-70 mph.  In gear/in neutral/with and without throttle.

Back to the dealer.......

What are your tyres like for wear Eric?  Also it'll be worth checking the tyre pressures, it could be that simple......

Naaahh - This is a mechanical drone.

Wheel bearings, drive shafts or DSG.

Tyres are fine.
