Title: milage display GTI 8v

Can anyone help. Recently my mileage display has perminantly been showing IN 00, I have tried many things to get the mileage amount back with no go. Tried disconecting the battery the other day and on reconection the display has gone completely blank, no service reminders or mileage. Any help would be great.

It's not doing it cos the speedo cable has snapped has it? FFS I dunno even if there is a speedo cable! But I'd have thought it would create a similar problem....

No not probably as the speedo is still working properly. Aparently there is a procedure that will reset the display using the MFA key. Anyone know of this.

see if someone with vagcom can clear it
