Well door...have fitted my shiney new painted one, and the bastid won't hang straight.....is about 5mm to low and now matter how i try and get it hanging level it just wont  :angry:

Any tips/help etc

replace the hinge pins, they get loose with age!  Or are you having problems when its shut?  Which side is too high, and which is too low?

The back part of the door hangs to low and the front is too high.....so it slopes down at an angle towards to back.  Have had another tinker now and it shuts better than last night, but it still "drops" when you open the door.

Hinge pins?

Ok the striker pin is used to set the position of the rear of the door when its shut, both my GTI and driver dropped down a bit when the door is opened.  New hinge pins should sort it :)

Not sure about it sitting high at the front tho, perhaps the attachments have been bent in a failed attempt to raise the door in the past?

Edit: My drivers door is terrible it actually sticks out at the top and sits in at the bottom!
