Title: Anniversary GTI
Post by: mf11 on 05 July 2006, 23:32
I have an 02 Anniversary Golf GTI - does anyone know how I can find out what number it is in the two limted number runs of this car that there were - 900 petrol and 900 diesel as I remember it. Is there a plate somewhere in the car with the number? can't seem to find one but sure the dealer showed me it when I bought the car!

Any help apprecaited.

Thanks,

M.

I think it is on the side of the dash so you can only see it when the door is open

Apparently the number on the side of the dash was added by the dealer after purchase by the original owner which they had to apply for from VW. I'm not sure if this would still be available from your dealer?

When sold all the anniversarys should of had a plaque on the fusebox cover inside the drivers door.  People do rip em off because i seen em on ebay

Are you sure it is an anni and not just kitted? what seats has it got?  Give your dealer the chassis number and he will be able to tell you if its an anni

Did you see the '0007' 25th anni badge on ebay recently? Allegedly kept back by VW because of it's association with James Bond

Also, another good sign is the dark headlining!

Normal GTi's have a light grey one.
