Title: Rear door bump strip

Evening,

The rear right hand door trim has basically fell off SWMBO's GTi.  Now, some of the white clips (5 off total) attached to the trim have had it, I've already replaced the green bits that go into the door itself.  Question is, ours also has black mastic on the door panel, is this usual or has someone tried to bodge it back together?

sounds like a bodge. mine only held on by clips

Cheers, ours looks exactly the same as yours, Ruby Red Metallic on a '98 R plate.

I'll clean it off and get the clips then.
