Hi people,
Considering buying a 1994 3-door VR6. I am going to view it tomorrow, and was wondering where the VIN plate and VIN number are located on this model. The car has done 135,000mls, and the guy is looking for £2,000. Would this be a reasonable price considering the mileage? Apparently, it's in good nick.
Any feedback much appreciated.
Cheers.

99% sure it's on the slam panel
check if the chains have been done at that mileage.
-
Sorry.....slam panel?.....Is that the door frame?
At what mileage is the chain due for changing?
Thanks for the quick reply Dizzie.

vin is on a plate pop rivetted to the slam panel/front panel between the os headlight and the bonnet catch. also on the lip on the bulkead just about in line with the oil filler cap.

Got it now...DOOAAHH !!!
Spied the car on eBay, but the auction has finished.

What do you think? Worth £2,000?
-
Reckon you should barter him further - seen late mk3 vr6 on decent mileage some with leather/aircon for 2500 recently :)

Thanks, just what I thought.
I was thinking somewhere around £1,750 providing all is well.
By the way, forgot to ask in original post re. engine number location....any ideas?

It should be on a kind of barcode type sticker on the cambelt cover, or on the data sticker in the boot.
