A few days ago a car drove into the side of the gof vr6 and peugeot 307 and i got pinballed into a railing.... the 307 had looked like a truck had hit it, the vr6 had ripped the front off this 307, the headlights of the 307 were bouncing down the road infront of me.. the bumper, rad fan the whole lot...
its bent the chassis leg and the inner wing its virtuly hitting the alternator belt. its damaged the front and down the side of the car.. its also bent the nearside chassis leg due the the crumple zones absorbing the impact its spread it throught the front of the chassis...
it was my brothers car so i'm really gutted about it.. even though i cant stop people from driving into me. i feel extremely bad.
100% gutted........

Yeah I know what you mean... Thats really harsh I wrote off my Polo (Went into a truck at 70mph) and it was my parents but I drove it all the time and I felt bad for months infact I couldnt drive for 1 month just getting over it... I was fine but the stress I had on myself.
I always drive 10mph less now everywhere I go and I get worried as soon as I go past 75mph on the motorway.
Hope you get it all sorted out and you always got someone to talk to
-
gutted for you mate
ill give you 350 for the engine and box
-
gutted man....nothing a bit of T-Cut will get out
-
I know exactly how you feel dude, not good for morale
-
From photos it looks repairable. Depends on chassis damage.
Get as much as ya can from Insurance then buy it back off em and get it done yerself!
-
Know how you feel have written off .. 2.. Mk1 campaigns ..i was devastated ..but least i walked away alive is all i can say
-
just think how the VW took the damage, they are good strong cars, admittedly theres damage, but if u were driving french monkey metal it would be a different story!!
hope ur ok, i now whats its like with such serious accidents! (i had one in monkey metal and my bro in a vw transporter)
-
Lay off the French stuff you!
I had a Renault 21 that took a Dumper full of concrete smack in the side and it survived!!!
Dumper wasnt travelling to fast but an all up weight of 4 tonnes dont have top be moving fast!
-
you know what i mean len, i just thin the golf took it really well...
-
the lights on the peugeot were bouncing down the road infront of me..... the golf literally knocked the lights out of this peugeot..
to be honest i've never seen a car look like that.. the vw has come of best, due to the german construction!

Feel bad for you mate, looks bad from the pic at least your not badly hurt?
-
Looks buggered and thats a real shame.
Modern cars are designed to fly apart and dissipate the energy from the crash into the structure instead of the interior, thats why it fell to bits. Still French cack though.
-
good to hear your ok tho' bud,
its a shame that another VR is off the road though
you sure it wont just polish out???
-
its just gone and upped the price of the remaining vr6's on the roads!!!
-

French cars are sh!te!
It will be fine thou I have some zip tyes tis all you need!
