Title: big or small?

hello everybody
sorry if my englisch is not so good but i'm from belgium.
got a question,i'm driving a mk2 gti 8v.
it's running on 16"wheels,i've been asking myself if it would run better on smaller wheels like 15",or maybe 14" ???

by the way
this is a great forum ;D
whish we had one like this in belgium

no it wouldnt make any difernce....
they do make 14 and 15 ince wheels for mk 2 but they wouldhave to have the correct size tyre for the car otherwise your rolling radius would be off and your speedometer would be wrong..... if they wheel and tyre were too small then the clock would be inacurate 30mph would mean 26 mph something like that........

there will be a small increase in acceleration when running a smaller wheel due to the engine requiring less effort to turn the wheel as it aint as heavy as the 16"

if that makes sense
