Title: passenger side mirror thought

hi to all

just wondered if anyone has ever replaced the passenger side mirror with a left hand drive drivers side mirror, thus giving you the extra angle of view on both side of the car.

in theory, i dont see why it shouldnt just fit but if anyone has tried it or knows if the connections are the same, id love to know...

I live in China and know several English words only. I am not sure if my Golf is MK4, though we call it the fourth generation Golf in China. The driver side mirror is larger than the other side and I have long been thinking to change for safty. my 4S shop told me that Bora's passenger side mirror can work on Golf. they are the same in structure and function and it is easy to replace, just a plug-in connection. plus the cost is about 40 pounds. if I misunderstood your question, please forgive me for my interruption.
