Hi i was wondering how i could add a rev counter to my 1.6Driver and where would i get one from i notice the gti's have one could i get a gti dash consol or is it best to get a seperate one
some advice would be greatful and some ideas of what to look for and where to buy would be cool

You'll need a late 1.8 driver console or a 1.8 GL console, single plug fitment.

Not quite, the clocks you get depends on how old your driver is. If its an earlier model (hazard switch on dash) you need the 2 plug clocks, and if its a later model (hazard switch on column) you need the single plug clocks.
You can use GTI or Driver/GL clocks, if it has a rev counter, it will work. The advantage of GTI clocks is they are easier to find, and also have the MFA built in which can be wired up without too much trouble. If you don't wire up the MFA it will just function as a digital clock.
Edit: It will plug straight in, no modifications or wiring required to get the rev counter working :)
