Title: MK3 rear wiper???
Post by: Creepy Coupe on 26 June 2006, 14:39
Hi Folkes, I'm new around here, so just wanted to introduce myself, I drive a MK5 Gti and the Wife a MK3 GTi, sorry to open with a question but, is it possible to operate the MK3's rear wiper without squirting the washer jet?

No not really, if you do it really quick and lightly you only get a small splatter.

Why the query? If its raining it will stay on intermittent until you press it again, so why worry?

Personally I think its the worst rear wipe system I have come across on any car!

It is a bit odd, I suppose VW think a squirt of water will help the blade sweep more easily, but its a bit daft if you just want to wipe away some rain drops/mist from the night before.
