Title: han owning a cab??

NOT YET...

but today a cheque arrived from the inland revenue for £1029.16  :grin:

so all i gotta wait for now is the doctors letter to reach the insurance company in order for them to make me another offer of compensation (Hopefully a reasonable one this time) - i did have the car crash a year ago (06/06/05) so that means i've also been here a year!!!

hopefully they'll then send me a lovely cheque, then maybe... just maybe i can actually start lookin for a cab. I've got my eye on 2 atm!!

han, I know of a nice G reg red one owned by a mate of mine. 1.8 8v under the hood. red interior, red carpets, leccy windows. unfortunally there's no power hood :(

how much are u expecting off the insurers?

alex, i've been waitin long enough, (and i guess i'm sorry that this is a broken record for older members!)

 so what i'll have left from this money plus compensation may actually help me afford a cab, just cant insure one til december as people i'm with atm cant insure me!

alternatively, don't get one till you can get insured then you will have loads of cash and can buy in winter when they will be dirt cheap.  :rolleyes:

Know what you mean about money!

Im waiting till next friday to get paid then its time to aution some stuff off me thinks which will take a week but once thats done ChaChing! Money for the GTi...

Im owed some money from the tax man but not holding my breath for it... Taxmen all so quick to take it from you but never so quick to give it back..!

well han i hope you find the one you want....

You had a crash on the same day as me last year -  I got my cheque monday (19th)
Hope your feeling better from the crash as they are not nice things to experiance but seeing the amount of compo on a cheque sometimes makes up for it.

we had one in work today for £1000 on a H plate, but it was on a carb and the hood was ripped. the paint wasn't good either :(

saw a gorgeous mk1 cab today around york. was black think it is what ur looking for. they are sweet as . gotta get one ! can imagine u in one lol   :drool:

theres2 black ones in york, a blue one next door to my cousin, a white shed , and a white chavmobile!

ahwell.. this money is pretty much spent on mot'in n stuff for mk2! but if this moneys comin then the rest shud be!

Tom i'll take u for a spin when i get one! Gti all the way! lol,  how cool will i look at college??

Either get on and get one sharpish before you bore us all to tears or............

Actually if its gonna be a pain to insure then wait! Put the money somewhere safe where it wont get wasted on kinky boots and clothes and handbags etc.

But dont tell us - keep us in suspense! :wink: :laugh:

yeah, even cooler than ad in his car " scary mary" . scary mary goes to the nurburgring on thursday!!! shame i cudnt get time off to see them not come home in one piece!!! they took out RAC cover!!!  :rolleyes: hahaha
