You bottom pic is sending my screen mad.
Anyhow, from the few pictures i saw, there were some truely awful looking motors there, and that poxy orange mk1 was there too.
Tbh, seemed from some of the pics that there was a large chav element of motors there this year an all.
-
^^^ cheer up you grumpy bastard!! it was a top notch show and there were some beautifull cars to balance off the odd set of lambo doors and dodgy paint jobs.
i also have to say the chavier style of cars were still executed very well, if you know what i mean? ie the workmanship was of a pretty high standard not just bolted on crap.
oh yeah and just to make you smile janets rallye was there as well!
-
nah slick, there wasn't that many chav'd up cars, but it does seem like all those pics are of the worst of them, am worried about the person who took them...
I thought that nasty dark red mk1 rag-top on the house of colour stand, was that nasty orange fing, with IAZ on the reg plate , but no, there it is pictured further down :undecided:, seems like there is now 2 of them in competition, to see who can build the nastiest, most chav'd up mk1 rag-top.........
-
you can think that slick if it makes you feel better about not going
-
some nice pictures there mate,
cant wait for e38 now.
-
Couldn't give a toss about not going, just saying, from the pics it looks like there were some truely gash cars there. (we all know joe is automatically attracted to anything that is polished)
I have the two best shows in the country lined up anyhow.
Bugjam and E38.
-
Nice pictures Rich, can see why it took you ages to get them up here
Should have gone really... :(
-
looked like a nice day but i didnt bother with this one. Bored of the dub scene. same cars diffrent show imo
The dub scene is turning chav by the looks of things.

all about going old skool

"The dub scene is turning chav by the looks of things."
Personally I feel that people that are modding their VW's and looking for something 'new', individual and original are running out of ideas.............hence the more extreme actions being taken with cars such as the orange and red rag tops. I'm not saying I like them, but I can understand why they have done what they have done. I like going to see all the new ideas and individualism that people are trying.
I, as anyone that knows me will know, prefer to look at old VW's (mk1's in particular) that are as original and true to the day they first left the production line. But I also recognise that it is not all peoples taste and they want something different.
IMHO I really can't see a trend developing where everyone is about to turn the VW's into 'chav' chariots, at least I hope not :undecided:

I put on my sunglasses, Sunday, suncreamed my face all around them, then took them off and spent the rest of the day with no sunglasses on............worked a treat, panda eyes gone!
-

Unfortunately things arent quite as positive for me, i woke up this morning and my pillow was like a giant flap jack as my head was all flakey and peeling, have to keep rubbing cream into me head! it is quite literally doing my head in!

Yeah, what's up with those "stubby" quattros, they look really wierd?
-

They're a factory car of some description rather than a cut and shut job and I think they were around the era of the small rallye car so will have been a direct competitor in the 80s to the RS200.

Short wheel base Audi UR Quattro's, rare as f@ck and worth a fortune.

I am a big rallye fan so I knew what they are, awesome pieces of machinery. I would of gone nearer to them but was afraid I would have a trouser accident!
-
Must admit, I'm not sure that I have ever seen the short wheel base ones in the flesh before............yet alone going up the track! I looked (very briefly) into buying one a few years ago. Only looked briefly as I would have had to sell the house to afford one
-
There was one there last year in black thin it may be the balck one on your pictures.....there are awesome little beasts :afro:
yup, was this one (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/richandhazel/DSCN0503.jpg)

Cheers rich, JV did it fr me last night :) think i gave him a heart attack asking for it
Ahh, didn't know you didnt go lasy year. Godd to see the owner take it down the track this year...it was left in the car park last year. STill gathered a massive crowd as people walked past it
