Title: VW specialist
Post by: pussy-galor on 20 June 2006, 07:04: does anyone know of a VW specialst in the bourenmouth /southampton area.

My MOT is due and she need a very good service and some tuning. I would rather she was done properly

Post by: Dizzie on 21 June 2006, 21:04: the dealership prices are a joke. little specialst setups usually know more than the VW techicians as we've stripped apart our cars and put them back together solving all the common problems over the years so when someone turns up in their mk2 we can say exactly what's wrong and sort it out.

also the smaller specialists don't have the stupid overheads the dealership has so can offer the same, if not better service for a fraction of the cost :)

Post by: Thom89 on 21 June 2006, 23:49: If your stuck to find someone in your area.. ask an AA, or RAC man where, apart from a dealer, they would take an older VW, for servicing and repairs :cool:

Post by: pussy-galor on 22 June 2006, 06:14: I would never go to ou VW dealership i think their labour is something over Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£100 p/h plus they are all pricks in their too. I went in to buy a brand new beetle there and then I must of been in there for half hour and got ignored the whole time.
I asked a sales person if i could test the demo but he turned round and just said we are not doing test drives today.
So I turned round and said 'well done your service has lost you a sale' he then started to say something but i just walked out the door

I have found tooo places ao I will give them a ring today hopefully they should be fine
