A quick one for ye
I am the proud owner of a 16 valve gti, problem is the handling is terrible..Ive changed the rear shocks about a month as they were leaking and that didnt cure it..Used the same springs...I know when the mk3 16 valve came out it was criticised for its soggy handling but ive come very close to loosing it on one to many occasions in the bends...So iwant to fix it...Cant really afford to fit performance shocks and springs all round so was just wondering if i bought 4 lowering springs and fit them would it make a difference? 4 springs and a strut brace? any thoughts?

its because its a mk3!!!
lol
cheeck your top mounts and rubber bushings are in good nick cos if these are shagged then they will give interesting handling!

more like a boat than a gti at the mo, defo getting it sorted

what tyres are on the car? same front and back? you should find the mk3 has some body roll but will be settled once it's reached its "pitch"
