Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can download or get my hands on an instruction manual for the radio in my Golf Mk4 2001 - It's the VW standard Gamma. I do not appear to get one with my car, I've got the CD manual but no radio! OR if anyone has a manual - can you advise me how I store radio stations?? I always have to press the scan button to get the station that I want and when I switch off the car, it doesn't come back on again.
Many Thanks
Gaz

well today i recieved the manual i ordered (off ebay) for my mk4 golf. i just looked through it to see if there was a section on the radieo/cassette/cd i would have photocopied it for you but there isn't!!! i need one to so let me know how you get on. i have the gamme cassette head unit and the single cd unit in that must have come with the car, i have to say i am not too impressed with the sound, no way as good as my alfa. i guess the road noise is higher/more wind noise but it aint as good might have to upgrade - not sure if the speakers are inadequat and the head unit ok or the other way round though!

There was a VW Gamma stereo in the audio board at a store I was working at a few months ago, and if I remember right I just stored the station by tuning it in manually and pressing (and holding) a preset button. This was a while back, mind, so my apologies if it's incorrect...
Also, if it's not keeping the station when you turn off the radio, doens't that point to a wiring problem? I.e. switched ign and perm feeds?
