How much money have you got?
-
there is a rally mk2 g60 on ebay to save you the hastle?
-
Well i have about 1k to 2k to spend on the engine work! as the rest i hope to do myself, i.e roll cages, suspension, etc.!
i saw the G60 golf, its well sweet! but one thing that confuses me, is how come it doesnt have the normal circular head ligths?
so wat spec is a G60??
cheers!

G60 is a 1.8 supercharged engine. If you don't want to spend loads of cash then you could get an audi 2.0 8v block and put that in. Combine that with ported head, cams, filter and exhaust.

Rallye is all wheel drive with rectangular headlamps. G60 is just a '6 said a supercharged 8v lump. Personally I'd go with a 2.0 liter 16v (9A) and run the intake cam from a 1.8 (KR) Perhaps overbore it to about 2.1 or 2.2 liters should make lot's of torque and peak out at high revs.
