Title: Golf mk2 seats
Post by: mikedub on 14 June 2006, 19:59
Hi everyone. I'm a new member but I've been reading the forum for a while and have found it really useful.

Wondered if someone could help me, as I would like to know, are the seats for all 3 door Mk2 golfs interchangeable. I have noticed that some seem to have a different shape, with bigger bolsters, and a slightly more sporty look. My car is a 1989, 3 door, 1.6 driver (cant insure a GTi since I had a little crash in my beloved Audi ) and it has really boring seats. I've seen loads that look a look a lot more comfortable, not Recaros or anything, but noticed they have a different shape, and the leather seats seem to have this shape as well. I'm in the process of updating it and want new seats, and would like to know if all the 3 door tilting seats have the same fittings and if I can simply swap them over.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

the GTi seats hold you a lot better than the lower spec ones. A worthwhile upgrade. the recaro ones hold you even better!

all of them will bolt straight in.
