If it is noisy, I would change it. Not to bad a job, time engine as if doing a cam belt, remove belt, remove upper inlet manifold, cam cover, distributer (mark it),mark inter cam timing (two lines one on each sprocket), remove cams, slip on new chain, refit cams and recheck inter cam timing and rebuild (with new cam belt and tensioner).
Worth doing the injector "o" rings while your that far in.
Steve.

How exactly do you know if you need to do the cam chain? Mine makes a metallic clicking around the centre two spark plugs when I rev it. Would this be a sign to chain g it ?? (did you see the hiden joke there) lol

Take the cam cover off and check the tension of the chain.

You probably only need to change the chain, as this as probably stretched over time.
