Title: air con to my gti 8v?

hi i havemk3 gti 8v 1994.the car is without the air con.as the summer came alredy i`m boiling .
Is it possible to fit air con to my car?
if so what`s involved? is it difficult to do it?

Hey up, this sounds familiar...  I asked the very same question about 2 years ago.  Didin't get very much response really, but, there are laods of parts required and its a very expensive and time consuming job.  To cut a long story short, I flogged the car (no sunroof either on mine) and bought a '98R 8v with aircon.

Doesn't really give you a breakdown list of the parts, it might be easier and cheaper in the long run to change the car.  Oil changes are real fun with aircon installed BTW, pipes run just where you need to get to to change the oil filter.

Too expensive and too much work!

Go buy a car with Air-Con as built!

And yes Oil Filter change is a bugger!!!!!

Sounds like IÂ’m going to suet myself all over this summer  :sick:
i don`t reale want to change my car as it`s LPG converted (saves me lots of money ,£0.42 a liter)
