hiya guys jus wondered if anyone can help, my drivers door is central locking not on the key but on my alarm fob. press the button and the door unlocks, however my passenger door central locking does not work.
I took off the door card and there is the solinoid you would expect to see but when you press the alarm fob the passenger door wont unlock. its not making any sort of noise either.
does anyone know what could be wrong
thanks for any help guys

Mine is the same. I suspect relay No21 (mine's a 1990 valver)

does the boot unlock?
-
no the boot dont unlock but i dont thing its fitted with central locking

if its the factory central locking then the boot and petrol flap should be hooked up as well as the doors, you do have a pump in your boot? or is it an aftermarket thing? if its the factroy air pump system and only the drivers door works with the fob then it could be the pumps knakered cause if nothing else unlocks and you cant hear the pump trying to work then that makes sence cause the fob will activate a seporate soleniod that both unlocks the door and should pull up another rod thats supposed to set the master air pump solenoid off too, maybe its worth checking if the blue air solenoid is hooked up to the black gun shaped one properly? <---disregard all that if it isnt the pump system

sounds like a none standard one you can pick up a replacement from maplins for about £10
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=12304&criteria=central%20locking&doy=5m6
none standard one if its blue and has a pipe attached its factory fitted and doesnt sound like there is a leak if drivers side is not working just a fault in passenger one, but i suspect its the type above and if so just a straight forward replacement can be installed easily

its like a blue solinoid in passenger door.
i have noticed there is a red hose which is just lying in the door unconnected but i cant see where it connects to the solinoid, should that br connected
cheers guys

thats the air hose from the air pump in the boot and should be connected to the bluse solenoid, there should be a bit coming off it withs hole in, it may be easier to take it off to have a good look if ya cant see the hole, will only be 2 screws
