Title: Fitting spot lights?
Post by: Mirage- on 10 December 2003, 15:31
I've got a F reg 1998 1.8 8v Gti but it's only got single round headlights and I like the look of the double head/spot setup.

My question therefore is what would be required to fit a set of spots to my car?

New grille with spot holes
Spots themselves
Spot adjuster kit

...... Anything else?

Thanks in advance

Ian

A lot of people like converting the double spots to the single headlamp config so you should be able to pick up the grill and inner spots quite easily.

and the wiring should already be there for it

I think that this car originally came with the spots but it's had that many owners with different opinions and tastes that somewhere down the line they were changed for the single.

I prefer a bit more light myself and think that the golf looks pretty mean with the headlamps, spots and fogs at the front-end   8)

Might splash out and get the crystal lamps and spots though for that bit of extra bling to go with my lexus rears.

I'm doing alright really since the car was given to me by a friend who no longer drives.  ;D  Didn't look nothing like it does now but can't complain at twice the price... still nothing!
