Title: mk3 1.6 cutting out

mk3 1.6 abu engine single point injection, cuts out randomly! will start again if left for a few minutes ,checked for spark when its "dead" and a good healthy spark is present, disconnected the feed pipe to injector unit and there doesn't seem to be much pressure there. is the pump in the tank dying?

gti's have a problem with the fuel pump relay, maybe it's the same with the 1.6? only about £10 so worth a try?
