Title: Alternative tyres for Mark 5 GTI

About to change front my tyres for first time (after 18,000 miles , just on legal limit) on my new GTI. Will probably just replace with same Continentals that came as factory fitted but anyone got any other suggestions ?

i replaced both fronts 2 weeks ago and did the same, putting back on what come off.

But mine are run with Bridgestone Potenzas RE050.  Find them good, and got nearly 16k out of mine
