Title: Mk3 GTI lowering springs- Will they fit a 1.6 CL

Hi guys. I want to lower my 1.6 cl by about 35 or 40 mm, I found some cheap lowering springs but they are stated as for a GTI. Does anyone know if they would fit CL dampers????
