:smug:Heool, all, and I',m wondering what kind of good mods are available to the gti market her in the us? I'm now the proud owner of a 89 GTI and am lovin the little rocket. What are some good places to start with some goods mods?

Hello all and thanks, I'm not exactly new to vdubs, however i've not delt with such animals as the fiesty gti. The MK2 ballgame is a different world to me I've played with the older air cooled dubs and have had a old rabbit that was built already, but, i've not had my hands on one of these vws before.I see some one replied with a 280 street cam for sale how well does this cam work and what rpm does it  start making power and what other add ons do i need or does running the stock head , exhaust and intake does that hinder this cam?? :undecided: Thanks, Mrpug( Yes I'm a guy).

The one question that is on my mind is, my vw is sluggish until I get into the 1800 - 2,000 rpm then the engine comes alive is this typical or is this a tuning issue? also the idle varies from 600- 1100 when i let off the throttle any input?
