Title: VR6 MPG
Post by: Camboose on 26 May 2006, 15:36
hey guys,
Was wondering what MPG you can get from a VR6. My 16v can get 41 doing 70 on motorway. Around 30 ish around town. Is a VR6 a lot quicker too, Cheers

Last I checked on mine (which was earlier this afternoon) the car thought it was getting 26.6.  I've mostly done town stuff tho.

As for it being a lot quicker.... I've not driven a GTi, so couldn't really say.  On paper there's not much difference really (24hp), but I think the massive amounts of torque everywhere on the VR6 would make it considerably faster in practice.... Just speculating of course.
