Title: tdi difference
Post by: GazB on 25 May 2006, 21:02
Hey guys, being new to all this TDi stuff, what are the differences between the 115,130 and 150 engines and/or turbos.  Is there any major difference or is it just a mapping issue :undecided:

well...you asked for the differences between them!

i def know the injectors are dfferent and i the turbo is mapped to give a slightly higher boost pressure.
also the air filter and associated pipes are larger the further up the range you go

There was a debate on another forum, some people thought that the engine internals on the 150 were different, but it was confirmed that pistons etc shared the same part numbers between 130 and 150 (not sure about the others) but the turbo was different.
