Title: I cant get 2nd gear ?

Hi all please help !
I have just replaced the gear linkage in my Mk 2 golf gti.
After i changed all the rubber bushes & put it all back together i now have a problem getting 2nd gear.Is this easy to fix ?
Any help welcome...thank's.

grab the gear stick and lift it upward, if you have any upward movement then the ball housing under the car is worn and must be replaced, see my post in the maintenance + info section :)

Thanks rub. That was done at the same time as the gear linkage...
I checked  the nut on the linkage and it was not tight. So i horsed it up and now i can get all the gears no problem...thanks anyway.
