Title: What Chip is this?

What chip is this, standard?

I have been told that a Jabba chip has been fitted, and i found this one in the boot. Just wondered if i had the proper chip installed.

Whats this one standard or upgrade?

Don't quote me I could be wrong (it happened once :grin:) but I thought they re-mapped the standard chips  :smiley:

Not sure that is an engine management chip! A mate of mine in the electronics biz. says M27256FI often used in old games consoles?  :undecided:

 :nerd: Most engine management systems use the chip out of the old sinclair spectrum (according to my PC/MAC Engineer mate)

Well shape and fittings wise it looks the same as the chip from my mk2 digi, no idea what a standard rallye one should look like though..... Mine had no sticker, just printed manufacturer details.

Could be right then, the '89' is the date code for the chip (so I'm told), does that tie up with the vehicle age?
